William “Bill” Hamm Jr.
74, of Lowell, IN passed away Sunday, February 27, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; children, Trisa (Christopher) Johnsen, Kip (Brianne) Hamm; loving grandfather to William “Billy”, Caleb and Seth; siblings, Linda Shourek, Sue (Warren) Bakker, Karen Seberger, John (Kris) Hamm, Judy (Mike) Walters, Kathy (Todd) Satterfield, Barb (Bill) Ping, Louise (Lenny) Brashear, Dan (Margaret) Hamm, Russel (Janet) Hamm; sister in law, Carol Hamm; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Marilyn; brother, David Hamm; niece, Heather Benton; nephew, Jake Hamm. Bill was a member of Lowell First Church of the Nazarene where he served faithfully for 55 years. He retired from Great Lakes Peterbuilt of Portage and was an Army veteran. He was known as a gentle giant whose fishing trips were legendary….for not catching any fish. He didn’t say much but when he did you listened. Visitation, Thursday, March 2nd from 4-8PM, Memorial Service, Friday, 11AM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN. Burial following in Lowell Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors.
