William R. Hine

89, of Lowell, IN, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024.  He is survived by his children, Lynn (Jerry) Vasko of Lowell, Scott of FL, Kelly (Lane) Keran of CA, Kristy (Monte) Anders of AZ; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jeannette Wobith of Mishawaka and Raymond of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Ganna; son Craig; siblings, Phyllis Lemke and Larry. 

Bill was a retired Operating Engineer with Local #150.  He was a member of Lowell’s St. Edward Catholic Church and the Colfax Blue Masonic Lodge.  He was a longtime volunteer with Meal on Wheels and an avid card player with several card and poker clubs.  He also enjoyed fishing and treating his family to fish frys. 

Cremation will precede Visitation Friday, February 2 from 4-7, at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell.  A Memorial Mass at his church will be held Friday, April 5 at 11 AM, with Entombment following in St. Edward Columbarium.
