William “Bill” Konyk

79, of Cedar Lake, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019.  He is survived by his wife Patricia “Miss Pat”; children, Marciadene (Jeff) Carns, Mark (Christine) Konyk, Michael (Cynthia) Konyk and Paul Konyk; grandchildren, Debra (Michael) Sikma, Robert (Caitlin) Ballas and Lauren Konyk; great-grandchildren, Colton, Levi and Noelle Sikma and Kaycee Ballas; in laws, Richard (Elaine) Pace and Gloria Shutt and nieces and nephew, Christine Kwait, Anita (Dan) Alba and Randall Shutt.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anna, first wife, Emilia, sister Nancy Blasik and brother in law, Jerry Shutt.  Bill was born in Ukraine and came to America in 1949, spending most of his younger years as a meat cutter for National Tea in Chicago, proudly made American M60 tanks for Blaw-Knox, and retired from Thrall Car as a Supervisor.  Cremation will precede Visitation, Thursday September 19, from 3-7, Concluding with Memorial Services at 7PM, Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E.
